Andrew’s life mission is “to know the beauty of Christ and commend Him to all.” Andrew works most closely with college students, while giving oversight to junior high and high school ministries. He also loves implementing the vision of the church by mobilizing the congregation to use their gifts. He studied Bible and theology at Moody Bible Institute before teaching junior high and high school Bible classes. After completing his Master’s degree in Biblical Exegesis at Wheaton College, he served as a full-time intern with the College Group at College Church in Wheaton. Andrew likes golf, soccer, snowboarding, and computers. He and his wife Rachel have one son, Isaac.

Matthew Newkirk, Minister of Missions and Adult Education

Matt sees an inextricable link between (1) knowledge of the Scriptures, and (2) zeal for God's glory to spread to the nations. To this end, he oversees both our adult education and missions ministries. He has served several churches in the areas of worship, mercy, and adult education, and has ministered and taught in Mexico, Panama, and Japan. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Old Testament at Wheaton College. He and Caroline have one daughter, Lydia, and they plan eventually to serve as long-term missionaries in Japan in the area of theological education.
